Excellent! 500 bonus xp!

As Vogh leaves that morning and heads out into Delver’s Square she is nearly overwhelmed by the number of beings and activity in the square.

The statue stands tall over the fountain and entrance to the Under City. A constant flow of bodies up and down the stone stair resemble a drain hurricane but instead of water swirling it’s people.

Every race in the empire is represented here and tolerated. Humans, elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings as well as orcs, minotaurs, and even more Vogh can’t identify on sight.

One wizard even floats down out of the sky, apparently walking is too pedestrian for him. He touches down in an area that opened as those saw him descend. He quickly walked into Myraeth’s Oddities.

Vogh makes her way through the press into the Halfway House. No one greets her here. A few men sit around the rough tables drinking coffee. A steady stream are leaving rooms out the back, presumably headed to work.

Thanks!!!

Vogh still in disguise walks to the bar and asks, Is breakfast still being served?  Or am I too late?

Narrator

The man behind the counter grunted and said he could whip up something.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
I appreciate the enthusiasm.  Your generosity is most appreciated.  My tummy thanks you.  The ride in yesterday was long on the road.  Are you also able to help me get a room? One that perhaps faces the square? I think I have a few days before I have to leave again.  Vogh could see the man was busy, but she would take whatever he offered.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The man grunts again at her sarcasm.

Then gruffly tells her all his rooms are open since the caravans pulled out that morning. She can have her pick. It’s a silver if she wants to share and two if she doesn’t.

Vogh

Vogh tosses up a gold piece and says, that will be good for 5 days then.  Thank you.  She then takes a seat to await her food.

He snatches the coin, bites it, and pockets it quickly.

A moment later he slides her plate in front of her at the table with a mug of light ale.

Vogh

Taking the plate if food and mug if ale, Vogh moved to a table and quickly eats.  Once finished she heads upstairs to a room with a view of the Ghostly Minstrel.  There she waits out the day.  If nothing eventful happens she changes into a different disguise and heads to the Minstrel.

The woman Sala does not appear in the duration of the time Vogh watches.

Let me know what disguise, and what time you’re going to go to the Minstrel

ooc: I will leave The Halfway House at 1600.  I will be dressed as an older female in her mid 30s.  She will have a few scars on her arms and a little one one her right cheek.  Color of hair will be red this time.

Narrator

The food at the wagon wheel was nowhere near as good as the minstrel’s but it was palatable fare.

roll disguise check.

The minstrel isn’t busy yet and Tarin hasn’t started performing. Few people populate the tables or bar this early in the evening.

Tellith is not there greeting guests so Vogh has her pick of table location.

===========================================================
Vogh

20:51, Today: Vogh rolled 17 using 1d20+13.  disguise .

Since Tallith wasn’t there Vogh went ahead and picked a table that would give her view of the front door and the table that Tallith is normally behind.  When the waitress came over, Vogh told her that she wanted some fresh meat and potatoes and whatever fresh vegetable there was along with a light wine.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Vogh found boredom quickly, but little else as the day wore on. Tellith moved around the area getting ready for the evening again. She was having areas cleaned and straightened as well as fussing over several details. She did greet the disguised Vogh once as she was bustling about, thanking her for her patronage.

The fire was kept small because of the warm weather. The rain put a small chill in the air but the dozens of bodies would heat the room up fast.

Talin popped in and setup the stage, preparing for the night. He laid out the few instruments he would use then he too ordered dinner and a light wine. He looked in Voghs direction but no recognition crossed his face as he sat and ate alone.

with a +13 he rolled a 3 and failed to see through your disguise. haha. I love the heart of the dice. 🙂

He sat and sipped his wine as more people milled in. The crowd was rowdy tonight. Apparently a group of Delver’s came up with something and they were anxious to spend their coin after offloading the spoils!

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh had taken her time with the food that was brought to her and when Talin came in and ordered food she could tell that he hadn’t seen through her disguise.

You are right…. so far in my others games I haven’t rolled above a 7 yet out of 4 rolls so far.

When the delver’s came in and began to drink and eat and get rowdy Vogh had a plan to attain some extra coin this night.  She would watch carefully and pick out those that seemed not only way drunk, but also not as attentive.

She will cast detect magic and be looking for rather extensive items.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Many items on many people glow with magic, from armor to weapons as well as rings, headbands, amulets and more. There is no shortage of magic in the room.

The delvers Vogh is concentrating on have several magic items about their person, but it’s clear they kept nothing brought up from the undercity. They seem to have sold everything for coin.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Are the delvers in here part of a few groups?  They all sitting together?  I was trying to read the sleight of hand skill and it says I need to make a DC20 to take an item from someone vs their spot check.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
taking a nap. I’ll holler back. yes they are all together and you’re reading the skill correctly

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
I will be going to bed when you get up probably 😉

Vogh finds lots of nice items about the people gathered, but it seemed that they were all together and that would make any pilfering difficult.  She decided to just enjoy the show staying once again till the end as she did the night prior.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The group gets rowdy and throws around quite a bit of coin that night, but nothing gets too out of hand. They were quite popular by the end after buying everyone ale and wine.

The point past the middle of the night passes and everyone starts filtering upstairs or out with residual laughter, lubricated by libations. hehe 😀

Talin put on quite the show with a fresh flourish of flashy spells, much to the delight of everyone present, the ladies especially.

Soon the common room is nearly empty and the bard is preparing for leave as well.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh sits there as the bard puts his things away sipping on an ale she had brought just a bit ago.  It was only the third drink of the night for her as she wanted to keep her wits about her.  She waits till he gets ready to leave before getting up and following him.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Talin notices his tail and turns to address her. May I help you?

Recognition alights in his eyes and he laughs out loud. “Vogh, you’re in costume again?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh’s eyes lit up on e Talin recognized her.  Yes, as I said I am on a little mission and the disguises aid me.  So, do you have a room here or somewhere else?  I would think by all the gold you make the place, that you would have a free room by now.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
The bard chuckles and explains he kept her room from the night before.

“Would you care to join me again tonight?”>

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
With a smile, Vogh says, I would thoroughly enjoy it.  Thank you for the invitation Talin.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Another passionate night passes and morning dawns with the two in bed again.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh wakes this time with a fullfilled feeling.  Talin too had a blissful look about him as he slept.  She had been up for about an hour now just watching him sleep.  With not a peep she dressed and left the room to head downstairs.  She grabbed some breakfast and made her way back to the room.

She woke him by springing on the bed, rise and shine sleepy head.  I brought us some breakfast.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Talin yawned and smiled as he stretched and enjoyed breakfast with the beautiful Vogh.

“How is your little mission going? Do you need any help?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Not knowing if she could trust him as of yet, Vogh thought about it for a moment with a far off look as she at a strawberry.  You know of The Dreaming Apothecary and their monopoly on magic item manufacturing?  There have been instances I have learned where people have gone missing if they were either found of making magic items, and sometimes just the accusation alone can have the same results.

Vogh watched his reaction before continuing on..  Well, I have an acquaintance that says with great fervor that he hasn’t done anything of the sort.  A woman hired me to spy on him and find out the truth, which is he isn’t making anything.  I am trying to find this woman for I want to know exactly whom she is working for.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
“I’ve heard the same about them. No one has challenged them on this, as I suspect no one can. You’re not planning to are you…? I would just tell this woman your friend isn’t selling the items and see if she’s content. You could ask her who she’s working for, or follow her I guess…?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Oh no no no, I am not wanting to challenge them on the issue.  They are far out of my league for that.  I have told the person I am supposed to tell about it and even asked the original woman whom she worked for.  Naturally she was very weary of me asking and said she worked for no one.  She seemed sincere in her words, but she could have been swayed by magic, which I didn’t check for at the time.  I was wanting to follow her myself which is why I have been here.  She gets information from the manager Tellith.  I was to tell her what I found and so I did.  I was just waiting for the woman to show up.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
Ah. I understand beautiful. Well, you’re welcome to spend every night in the inn watching me, then retiring here until you find her.

He smiles big, shining all his white teeth.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
I will take you up on that offer.  I tell you what, give me something of yours that I can wear with my disguises that will let you know it is me in the audience. It must be something not totally conspicuous though.  Vogh whispers in his ear ending with a nibble.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Talin looks over his gear and opens his pack to pull out a small gold lapel pin of a harp.

“This should suffice gorgeous.”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Taking a look at the tiny harp, it made Vogh happy.  The harp was probably his favorite weapon based on the amount he plays it in his shows.  She would wear it proudly in the crowd when she watched.  Awww, you are so generous and thoughtful.  Well, I had better get back to work.  Oh by the way in case you are out the woman looks like….. Vogh gives him a very descriptive description of Sala.

With that Vogh once again gets off the bed, and give Talin a long passionate kiss goodbye before getting into the old woman character and then leaving.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh heads to her room in The Halfway House and sits at the window as she did the day prior.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Finally Vogh’s patience was rewarded. Between the lunch crowd leaving and the dinner crowd starting to arrive the woman Sala strode across the square through the bustle and entered the Ghostly Minstrel.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh quickly left her room and went down to the plaza.  She moved towards the Ghostly Minstrel and looked for Sala.  She wanted to find her and follow her to where ever she would go.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Vogh pushed and shoved through the crowded Delver’s Square to get to the Minstrel’s front door. She composed herself before pushing open the door and moving off to the side.

Sala and Tellith were conversing and Vogh overheard a snippet of their conversation. The red haired, young woman was telling the wizard that Inlios wasn’t making magic items.

The disguised woman took a seat as nearby as possible without being suspicious as the two women ended their brief conversation and Sala left in a huff.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
As Sala left Vogh left as well.  Just before she exited though she cast her spell again to change her appearance.  When she walked out the door she looked completely different than before.  She did this in case Sala had saw her walk in.

Vogh looked like one of the patron males from the night before.

Once outside she didn’t do an obvious scan of the area, but she looked to see where Sala was headed and then headed off after her.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Sala walks straight down center street with an angry stomp to her stride that fades after a few blocks and turns into a fast walk. They quickly left Delver’s Square behind as they made their way into the South Market district. She passed the Emperor’s Road that lead up to the Exotic Market and Inlios. The older wizard woman turned down a smaller street off Center and made her way up to a small home.

Oblivious to her tail, she opens the lock and enters the home. Vogh, disguised and expertly moving with the crowd to avoid suspicion followed down the street avoiding notice in her older woman disguise.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Now that she knew where the woman lived or at least where she was currently, Vogh changed back to herself and walked up to the door and knocked loudly.  She whispered the beginnings of a spell and had it ready in case the woman came to the door with ill intent.

Hold Heartfire spell in case attacked.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
A few moments pass then Sala opens the door. With a harumph she addresses Vogh,

“Hello again. I received your message from Tellith. So you’re confident he’s not selling magic then? What did you base that on? How do I know you’re not lying to protect your friend?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Greetings Sala.  You asked me to investigate.  After we met I went back to the market in a disguise.  I followed him after he was finished with selling his wares.  He went back to a warehouse where he stores his items.  He put his things away and went to his house after.  I went back to the warehouse and looked around checking for hidden compartments and such, but I wasn’t able to find anything out of sorts.  I went back to his place later that night and got into his house.  I checked it for the same as the other place and couldn’t find anything that would suggest he is making magic items.

You just said, selling magic items?  That goes against what you told me to check.  Of course he is selling some items, but they are mostly small items and nothing really expensive.  Once I found out that he seemed to be clean.  I went to the Ghostly Minstrel and stayed the night.  The next day I told Tellith what I discovered just as you asked.  I did it in disguise as well so you would know I am capable of such things.

===========================================================
Sala
———————————————————–
Harumph! Yes! Yes. I meant making them. Well fine. I supposed you want to be paid then?

She reaches into her robe and pulls out a small bag, then counts 10 coins into Vogh’s hand.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Payment would be good for the trouble I went through yes.  What will happen with Inlios now?  He is someone I trust to sell the magic items I find.  I hope he doesn’t disappear like the others have that were accused of making items.  Vogh says.

===========================================================
Sala
———————————————————–
Well, if he’s truly doing nothing wrong then nothing will happen to him. Sala is visibly flustered and frustrated, then she says, almost to herself, I was SO sure he was making items.

Then she snaps her head up as if remembering Vogh standing there.

Well, be on your way.

She shuts the door as she turns away and Vogh hears the bolt lock.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Knowing where Sala lives now bolsters Vogh in case something happens to Inlios.  So, she decides to head back to her room with the cash she just earned.  She checks often to see if someone is following her.  Vogh even makes cutbacks and goes into shops to take away a threat.

In one such shop she cast detect magic on the coins and pouch given to her.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Neither is magical. Roll sense motive for tracking.

Vogh makes it back to the inn with no issue, and with a little more coin in her pocket.

Do you go Minstrel or Wagon?
