No one explained to the man what these water monsters were closing on him, but he did try to clamp his eyes shut. Unfortunately, he spasmed, like he was trying to hold in a sneeze, then his eyes shot open toward the sky and lightning exploded from him once again.

Julia Graymantle

Julia said to Bharash, We need to stop that man now!  He is going to kill someone else.

===========================================================
Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–

Though Deacon couldn’t hear Julia he knew exactly what she said.  The elementals were at the man now and as the first slammed into the man, the man fell to the ground quite unconscious.  The other elemental which was in the shape of a hippocampus looked back towards its summoner for further orders.

Well, now how about that.  The man is down and not moving.  Julia perhaps you should make sure he is still alive though.

A group of the city watch came marching up one street. A dozen Watchmen fast marched behind their sergeant. The stout, bald man barked the order to stop through broken teeth. As one, the group halted and looked about, ready for anything.

“What’s goin’ on here?! Who’s spell creatures are those?” With the snap of his fingers, two guardsmen moved forward with spears pointed at the elementals, flanking either side of the sergeant.

While hollering for answers, he also told his group to help some of the citizens. “Help these people. Keep your eyes open men. By the spire we don’t know what else is about.”

Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
Julia looked over the unconscious body of the man.  His eyes were now closed and nothing seemed to be happening as far as she could tell.  She decided not to heal the man right now though.

When Julia saw the city watch headed their way she motioned to the others.

The elementals are ours.  Deacon Havenhold conjured them up to help with some flames.  He then used them to knock this man unconscious for he was shooting lightning from his eyes uncontrollably.    Julia said as she kneeled next to the man.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash saw the watch as Julia pointed out.  He sheathed his blades and stepped forward to speak.  Julia spoke first and then Bharash added, When we first saw the orc that was burning I saw a man dressed in a black cloak that seemed a little too comfortable in the situation.  If I were a betting man, I would say he had something to do with all of this.  I didn’t get a good look at him though to give a better description.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Everyone’s neck hairs stood on end when the sound of an otherworldly kanine baying echoed down the street. Past the unconscious man, another couple dozen paces, a strange tentacle creature seemed to be stuck inside a shop’s wall. The eight appendages flailed, trying to free the beast. The howling’s source was made obvious as a woman went down under the weight of its muscled bulk. Shaped like a dog, the muscular creature had a coat that drank up the light, like it was drawing shadows in around it. Its maw was full of sharp teeth, and a wisp of black dripped from its writhing tongue, mingled with the blood of the now dead woman.

Roll DC 16 Will save or become panicked (except Deacon. That deafness already came in handy :D)

The sound, and the killing, caused the already terrified people to resume rushing about once more. To make matters worse, the dozen Watchmen were overcome with fear and began fleeing the sound as well.

Their sergeant began screaming at them to regroup and form up, spit flying from his broken teeth as he used every micron of air in his lungs to bring them together again.

Roll perception checks (not for Julia).

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash first hears and then sees the beast past the fallen man laying at Julia’s feet.  The howl the beast makes is terrifying, but perhaps due to his heritage, Bharash shrugs off the fear of the beat and once more grabs his blades out of their sheaths and moves to attack the beast.  As it slays a woman with its tentacles Bharash charges and slashed with his blades.  The first didn’t find a soft spot, but the second went through the beasts defenses and found paydirt.

Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
Having no hearing saved him once more as the commotion went on away from him.  Deacon was trying to see if the man was okay when others began running past him away from something.  When he looked up and saw the black beast.  Deacon once more urged his elementals towards the thing to attack.

Once more not sure if they can attack…. nor do I know how many rounds since I summoned them.  THey could possibly be gone next round or not.  Let me know.

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
As Julia was about to rise she heard the horrid sound of the howl.  It seemed otherworldly to her and sent shivers down her spine.  If that wasn’t enough the death sounds from the woman had her running the other direction afraid for what was coming now.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The two walking mounds of water began to shuffle forward as Bharash rushed past them, toward the black dog with both blades drawn. Powerful dragon blood settled against the otherworldly howl of the shadow beast and the scaled warrior was not fazed. Kanine in form, it seemed to shift among the shadows causing Bharash’ to misjudge his first swing, but his second found its way into gray flesh. A painful howl exploded from its toothed maw, then it lunged forward at the dragon-man.

Strange to Bharash the thing tried to sweep his legs with a spiked tail, which he dodged, but then in the same movement sharp teeth clamped down, trying to take the big man down. (10 dmg)

Shadow Mastiff, rolled 13 using 1d20+10. for Trip.

Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
Deacon winced as his dragonic companion flinched from the rather big shadowy dog.  Thinking that Bharash and his elementals may need an extra boost he cast a spell which he knew all too well.

Bharash’s movements became quicker as did the elementals which Deacon knew would soon vanish.

Cast haste.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash jumped the tail as it came around to try and trip him but it cost him as the canine sunk its teeth into his forearm.  Bharash flinched which tore his arm free and the proceeded to slash at the creature three more times only of which the first managed to draw any blood and pain from the thing. 8 more damage

12:14, Today: Bharash rolled 28,8,10,11 using d20+9,d8+5,d20+9,d8+5 with rolls of 19,3,1,6. With haste

Bharash swiped and opened another wound on the black coat kanine, but the shifting shadows of the beast defeated his second attack. The dragonborn was getting the hang of fighting this thing, he sidestepped the brute’s biting lunge, then slapped his sword against the swinging spiked tail, defeating that attack as well. Plus, Deacon’s water things had closed and could assist him.

===========================================================
Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
With Bharash standing in melee with the black canine creature, Deacon urges the elementals to take up opposite sides and attack.

With the spell from Deacon, Bharash is able to deftly dodge and swat away the attacks from the canine.  In turn, though as he is getting used to the movements of the beast Bharash manages to land two solid strikes on the thing draw more black ichor from the wounds. Hit twice for 18 damage.

Narrator
———————————————————–
Between the skilled dragon warrior’s twin blades and the dual water elemental poundings the black dog dropped, lifeless at their feet. Bharash looks up from the shadow form and notices a dwarf, tall for his people with a braided blond beard, looking between the shadow beast and the trapped tentacled creature with horror, but not leaving.

He looked to the dragon warrior and the odd towers of water then jumped as giant ant appeared next to him. The ant creature, a formian, stood nearly as tall as the dwarf and appeared to be intelligent. It did not attack in any way, but simply looked about at its surroundings then began walking away. The formian looked up, as did many others, to a woman who began to scream.

Clutching to a wooden cart covered with baked goods for sale she screamed as her body began to float into the air, obviously against her wishes. Her feet began to rise above her head which caused her to release on hand grip trying to keep her dress down to preserve her modesty. But doing so gave her less of a hold and she began to float even higher, losing her grip on the cart.

===========================================================
Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
As Bharash and his now vanished elementals killed the black canine, Deacon noticed another strange happening.  First, the man with the lightning eyes, then the octopus in the window and the black canine, now this bug-like creature appears and even worse the woman seems to be levitating up as if gravity had been stripped away from her body.  He was wondering what was going on and if this was something that has happened before.  At that point, he looked for Julia to see where she had gone.

20:55, Today: Deacon Havenhold rolled 20 using 1d20+16.  knowledge arcana.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
With his final blow, Bharash took down the black creature.  He was about to look back and smile to Deacon when he noticed the dwarf and soon the ant thing.  He then heard the woman screaming and looked that way too.  She was lifting off of the ground for no reason it seemed to him.  When he saw Deacon he knew that he didn’t do it just by looking at him.  So, Bharash looked for the source by checking to see how others were reacting.

21:00, Today: Bharash rolled 3 using 1d20+1.  perception.
10:30, Today: DM, on behalf of Bharash, rolled 19 using 1d20+1.  Inteligence.

———————————————————–
Bharash realized the dwarf seemed to be spontaneously creating these creatures, but it was obvious by the looks of the dwarf he was not doing it on purpose and had no control. However, he could not tell where the effect of the woman floating might be coming from.

A noble elf began screaming in horrible pain and clutching his head. The dragon warrior noticed that same man in black casually walking away, further now than before, despite all the chaos on the streets and nearly everyone being in a panic.

Julia had regained her composure somewhat several dozen paces away. She was currently leaning against a building gasping for breath from he mad flight. The woman jumped at Deacon’s touch when he caught up to her.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Did Deacon notice anything with his arcana check?

Bharash saw the cloaked figure once more and had a sneaking suspicion that it had something to do with all of this.  Bharash broke into a sprint to chase down the cloaked figure.

Not sure if I can get to him or not.?

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
Now back to semi-normal Julia asked Deacon, What in Ptolus is happening here?  It is chaos!  Clearly, she didn’t know what had taken hold of her fear but it was gone now and as she looked around she saw what was happening.  She saw the woman, and hear the elf scream.  She looked for Bharash, where is Bharash?  She asked Deacon.

===========================================================
Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
Deacon didn’t really know what was happening either.  He tried to figure it out but so far couldn’t.  So he only shrugged his shoulders at Julia’s question.  At her second question, he pointed in the direction that he saw Bharash last.  His eyes followed as well and that is when he saw Bharash on the move.  Deacon pulled on Julia’s arm to get her to follow him.

The both of them moved off towards Bharash as quickly as they could.

This line was meant for deacon. I realize it read like it was for B. “he could not tell where the effect of the woman floating might be coming from.”

Bharash needs to make a DC 14 Will save, and if he fails roll a d100 and let me know the result.

Narrator
———————————————————–
Bharash crashed through the crowd of people, closing on the clicked figure. When he was but six paces of the being he felt a power growing in him like an explosion. Being the powerful warrior he was, he flexed his considerable muscles and focused his will upon closing with this figure before him.

Screams from around assaulted him. Then he felt it. Cold. Powerful and biting cold. People scrambled away from him, clutching frost burned limbs. Beyond his own resistance to such temperatures, Bharash burned beneath his scales as the cold intensified.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash feels the cold deep within the depths of his core.  Barely able to see what is happening he is singleminded in his pursuit of the man in black.  He knows he needs an extra boost so he gives in to the power of his armor as it propels him quicker and faster towards his target.  The boost in speed gets him there and even enables him to strike out twice at the man in black.

The man in black probably take cold damage too with each hit?
21:28, Today: Bharash rolled 27,8,18,12 using d20+12,d8+6,d20+12,d8+6.

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
As Deacon tried to pull Julia on towards Bharash she waved him on, there were others that needed help and she had a few ways to possibly help them.  Since the woman was the closest to her Julia reached into her pack and grabbed a rope.  She called out to someone near her, Help me bring down this woman!  When Julia was near enough she either tossed the rope to the woman or handed it to her depending on how high she was.  Grab hold of the rope we will get you down!  Once down Julia asked some people to hold the woman on the ground until I can figure out a way to help her more.  I am going to help the man screaming now.

Julia then went to the elf that was screaming and tried to ask what was wrong, Excuse me, Sir, what is the matter with you?  If he doesn’t answer she will cast detect magic and if there is magic she will try and dispel it.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The dragon warrior’s armor magic seeped into his muscles, speeding his attacks and movement. His first sword strike struck the back of the cloaked figure, but did not cut through the black cloth. Bharash’s second strike never connected.

Immediately the being tucked and rolled forward, causing its hood to fly back. A dark elf snarled back at the dragon warrior. Long white hair flew around as the drow twisted from the summersault and came back at Bharash. The black skinned elf’s fist flew past both swords and blasted the breath from the dragon man’s lungs when it connected mid-chest. (7 dmg)

Julia was easily able to get the woman down to the ground again. The lady seemed weightless, as if by levitation, and nothing more nefarious. A few folks around were able to help hold her down on the ground while she moved on to the screaming man.

The elf clutching his head was dressed very well. He wore a fine cut and heavily embroidered green coat with expensive looking breeches and supple leather boots. But at the moment he was not acting nobly. It was clear the elf was in extreme pain, clutching at his temples. He was unable to respond to Julia between gasping for breath and falling to his knees in the middle of the street.

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
Julia had helped the woman and now the elf as he calmed when she cast her spell to take away any magical effects.

Julia then turned to see if there was anything else amiss.

Not sure if she can see the dwarf or not.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash now had a good feeling this was the one that was causing all the problems in the area.  Bharash shook off the minor blow in the chest and reconcentrated on trying to hit the elusive elf.  His blades flashed in dizzying slashes, the elf didn’t seem to have an answer for the first one as it came in.  The second attack though was blocked to the side.  The third managed to get past the elbow as the dark elf tried to block.

20:47, Today: Bharash rolled 21,11,12,11,21,4 using d20+10,d8+6,d20+10,d8+6,d20+5,d8+3.  attack dark elf.

===========================================================
Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
Deacon had left Julia’s side and followed after Bharash.  He caught sight of them a moment later and just watched Bharash slash his blade 3 times at the man.  Deacon now saw too that it was a dark elf.  Deacon had a little bit of their heritage in his blood and knew very much so what they were capable of.  Deacon knew his friend needed help so he once again fell into casting and summoned 3 small earth elementals.  The first looked like a rock structure with fists, the second like a small pony and the last looked like a bull.  They were summoned amid the battle and right after Bharash attacked they surrounded the elf.
The rock, the small pony, and the bull all pummelled the dark elf with fists heads and hooves.

21:13, Today: Deacon Havenhold rolled 26,8,23,11,20,9 using d20+10,1d6+6,d20+10,1d6+6,d20+10,1d6+6.  attack dark elf.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The drow took a pounding, and clearly decided he had received enough. With a backward somersault away he took off. The speed at which he was capable of moving was incredible. (50ft/round) He did all he could to escape the foes.

Julie had done a great job attending to the needs of the people affected so far. With her dispel cast the elf stopped screaming and passed out. Then she noticed the dwarf which was still near the squid creature, that had finally died from being stuck in the wall unnaturally, and looking around more shocked than anyone. As she neared she noticed his hands wriggling then a badger appeared from nowhere, ‘barked’ at the humans and rushed away. Again the dwarf was as baffled as anyone else.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash saw the elf do an impossible leaping somersault over the trap that was set by him and Deacon’s elementals.  As the elf landed and sped off Bharash did as well.  With his magical armor Bharash was able to keep pace with the elf and was able to once more slice the elf with his blade not once but twice his blades hit the elf.

11:12, Today: Bharash rolled 20,11,25,7 using d20+12,d8+6,d20+12,d8+6. Attack the elf

===========================================================
Deacon Havenhold
———————————————————–
Deacon was amazed that the elf escaped his trap.  As the elf sped off Deacon knew his creations would not be able to keep up.  Deacon didn’t dismiss the creatures yet though and just recalled them to him with a call.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Both Bharash and the dark elf were running through the streets, the drow tried to block the dragon warrior’s slashes, but he was clearly focused on getting away. Finally Bharash slashed across the drow’s leg, then when it stumbled, the warrior took it’s head. The ebony body fell lifeless to the street to more screams and people jumping away from the grizzly scene.

Bharash also noticed more people yelping and backing away from him with cold burns on their skin.

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
Julia saw the dwarf wiggle its fingers having being used to seeing Deacon make such a spell come to being.  The dwarf was conjuring these creatures into being, though to Julia it didn’t seem like he knew what he was doing and was afraid of what he was doing.  She ran up to him, Kind dwarf, I know you are afraid but, you are possessed with magic currently and you are the ones summoning these creatures.  Please let me get you help.  In the meantime, I want to hold both your hands if you will allow a nice woman to do so.

If he lets her take his hands she will lead him to Deacon.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash thought that once he had taken down this threat that he would feel better but he didn’t.  He could feel the cold deep within him and when others tried to help him he hurt them with his coldness.  So as not to harm anyone, he called out, Please no one come near me.  I am not in control of this coldness that is within me.  He stood over the dead elf so no one could come close to him as well.  He would wait for Deacon and Julia to catch up to him so he could ask for help.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The dwarf nodded, readily taking Julia’s hands and allowing her to lead him over to Deacon. His eyes were wide at the presence of the earth elementals but it wasn’t the strangest scene he had experienced that day.

Baharash felt the cold creeping beneath his scales and starting to burn even himself. (3 dmg) Everyone around heeded his advice, remaining a safe distance from the large draconic man, and the beheaded drow. While waiting for his friends he noticed the black cloak the elf had been wearing was not harmed, which was strange as he knew at least one sword had hit across the garment.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
While waiting for his companions Bharash looked over the body of the elf.  The cloak he had definitely slashed at more than once remained completely whole.  This intrigued him so he grabbed it and placed it in his pack.  He looked over the rest of the body for anything of value.

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
Julia kept hold of the dwarf.  She and Deacon moved towards where Deacon remembered seeing Bharash run off to.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Bharash felt the cold burning him even more (3 dmg) as he looked over the elf’s clothing beneath the coat. Everything the dark elf wore seemed incredibly outdated. He was dressed without any armor, but Bharash’s grandfather’s grandfather likely wouldn’t have even worn the cut and style of clothing this being wore.

Julie and Deacon caught up with Bharash after not much longer. Once she held the dwarves hands for a time, his fingers stopped wiggling and no more monsters appeared.

===========================================================
Julia Graymantle
———————————————————–
After some time with the dwarf and nothing else being summoned, Julia released the dwarf’s hands.  How do you feel?  Julia asked.  She watched closely for a minute or to make sure nothing happens and when it doesn’t she adds, I think you are okay now.  Something powerful is making everyone act weird.  We will try and find answers.  If something else happens, find us.  We will be close to here.

Julia then turned to Bharash as they neared.  Bharash had held her back though about 20 paces with an outstretched clawed hand.  He told her not to come near cause he was making people get hurt by his frosty touch.  Julia wasn’t sure what to do, she looked to Deacon who only said… dispel magic should work.  You seem in pain Bharash.  Can I aid you with some healing?  I used my dispel for the day, so I can’t do it again till tomorrow though.

===========================================================
Bharash
———————————————————–
Bharash doesn’t know what to do.  He even says out loud, What if you light a torch and I put my hands in it to neutralize the cold?  I could use some healing though Julia if you don’t mind!

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The dwarf said he felt fine, just confused about what happened. A crowd had gathered around the tri, so their conversation was followed by many. One man hollered out from the ring around Bharash, “There’s gotta be some wizard over at the Pointy hat or the Games house who could help!”

If Julia approached Bharash she too felt the biting cold of his affliction.

With the drow elf down, no other strange occurrences had happened, and the trio seemed to have subdued or dealt with all the problems they encountered on the street.

The half orc who had been ablaze was there, along with the no longer levitating woman. The noble elf wearing such fine clothes was close to Julia, as was the dwarf she assisted. Everyone was asking what happened and what was going on, causing a roar of questions, conversation and speculation from several dozen beings.
