The chaos of all the bodies and warriors was confusing and exhilarating all at the same time.  Vogh and Talin’s music helped the warriors and themselves cut through the ranks of the rats and the big rats with ease.

Still though, many of the men had cuts and blood that wasn’t theirs, dripping down to join the rats blood in the sewer.  Vogh didn’t have enough healing to take care of all the wounds the men had and knew that if they happened to get into a battle like this again that it would be possible they wouldn’t make it out alive.

I am not sure about all your guys wounds.  There are quite a bit on Juel alone from those big rats.  I am more than willing to continue, but just so you know we haven’t a lot of healing.  Now if you all brought your own potions and can heal your own wounds then, Talin and I are all in. She said all this while collecting tails from the dead rats as she searched their bodies as well.

19:43, Today: Vogh rolled 27 using 1d20+7.  search check.

Narrator

Juel leaned heavily on his sword, more than few cuts and bites showing on his body.

“I think we should head out. I’m banged up pretty bad and don’t want to run into another lot of these nogoodniks.”

Juel had taken the brunt of damage. The others had minor scrapes.

“Why don’t you all focus any healing you’ve got on my brother here, and I think I’m alright to go on. Just a few nicks. I weren’t standin’ in the front like a boob trying to kill them all myself.” Chule chuckled and chided his older brother.

Sam and Otule were already bandaging the few cuts they had and expressed the same.
Otule actually seemed to have avoided any hurt.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh listened as she searched the bodies of the rats to include the large rats.  She knew that Juel was most injured and so stopped to cast a spell on him real quick to heal up some of his worst wounds.  This will help a little,  Talin should be able to give you a bit more.

21:11, Today: Vogh rolled 9 using 1d8+6.  heal Juel.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
Talin just finished cutting a rat tail and putting it in the sack the group had used to store the tails.  He heard Vogh say he could heal Juel and her questions about continuing on.  Chule gave him the words he wanted to hear.  They would continue on.  Juel Here is a little more healing for you.  Hope it helps.  Though I think I should do a little more since you look pretty bad still.

21:25, Today: Talin rolled 6 using 1d8+4.  heal Juel.
21:13, Today: Talin rolled 6 using 1d8+4.  heal Juel.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Juel was still a little pale. He finally fished into his backpack and pulled out a single vial. He ripped the stopper off with his teeth and spit it out then downed the liquid.

As the healing potion rushed through his body all the bleeding stopped and his face pinked up rapidly.

“Phew. That’s the stuff. I think I’ll be alright to head on. Shall we try again?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Did Vogh find anything in her search?

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Vogh found a silver medallion with small diamonds set into it [Private to GM: (340gp)]

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Having tucked her find in her pack, back in the other room, when she returned and the conversation had turned to moving forward.  I am glad that you look better Juel, I agree that I think we can push forward as well.  We need to move quickly through the low ceiling areas to not have to fight in their territory and the way they fight.  I think we should skirt the pool on the right side(north) and head to the area beyond (area 9).

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
A rough, blue sheet divided the cavern hallway which Juel pushed aside with his sword to reveal two unarmed ratlings sitting in nests. Both shrieked and jumped up upon the group entering and ran through the sheet blocking their view from this into the next chamber.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Besides the crossbows we got from the rats back there does anyone use ranged weapons?  Vogh asked the group.

I think we should check out the nests here and then follow cautiously.  If someone wants to see what is on the other side of the curtain to make sure we aren’t surprised that would be good.  Vogh then began to search the area.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Otule pipes in that he wouldn’t mind taking one of the crossbows and bundle of quarrels. He sheathes his dagger and takes one from Vogh.

No one else seemed interested.

Otule moved up to the curtain with the crossbow and whispers, “Oi, we movin’ through ere?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh gave Otule a crossbow and some bolts to fire and watched him go to the curtain.  She started looking through the nest to see if anything was left by the rat men.  When he asked if they were going through Vogh looked to Juel.

I say we keep going, but ultimately it is your crew.  By the way, how would you say we have done so far?  Worth earning an equal share for everyone?  Vogh had to push the subject while the going was good.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Juel kind of grumbled out, “Yeah. I guess so. Go on.”

Nothing of interest was in the nest except the ever prevalent detritus and powerful odor of decay and waste. Otule pushed through the curtain with his crossbow raise and his dagger in his teeth.

The next room was much the same as the nest they left. Two curtains divided further rooms, which were also empty (including area 13), but the one to the right had a door exiting the complex into the sewer line again. It was nearly invisible from the sewer side, but obvious from inside the complex.

Finally the cavern extended (Area 14) which extended on into further areas of the complex. One hallway clearly lead back to the low ceiling cistern. The other continued beyond their lights.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
AS Vogh got the the intersection which had one passage that went north and one east, she thought she could see the cistern that they were at before.  I think the way straight ahead leads us back to the pool where we killed the big rats.  I think we should head to the right here.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Two ratlings walk out from behind the curtain not far in front of the troupe. Upon seeing the armed humans they shriek and run back through the curtain into Area 10.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Glad that Juel didn’t give the order to charge, Vogh says, Patience everyone.  Let us check out the area in front of us and then follow up where they went.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Dang it! Why you gotta be so cautious! 😀

Who is going first, and in what marching order and how are you proceeding?

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh is not a novice and knows to proceed with caution.

We will continue with how it looks in post 84.

I have a feeling with this big chamber that we should check for traps before entering.  So do so before entering will you?

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
As they cautiously move forward, the group cannot help but hear the sounds of multiple beings breathing and scratching in small movements around the bend… (in the large cavern to your right)

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
As they approached the chamber and began to hear noises from the right side, Vogh said, this time lets spread out a bit to get better chance of us getting flanking on them as opposed to them on us.

Vogh then blew on her horn to start her inspire courage to the group.

Keep going to the mouth of cavern 11

===========================================================

In reply to Vogh (msg # 91):

Marching order? Same as on the map?

===========================================================

===========================================================
Narrator

Otule looks around the corner and a hail of crossbow bolts sail out past the wall. Two of the quarrels stick into his left arm that was exposed before he can dodge back around the corner.

(4 points)

“Oi. There be a few of ’em in there…” He says, picking out both quarrels with a wince each time.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
When Otule comes back with the bolts sticking out of his arm, Vogh asks, are you okay Otule?  How many were inside?  Were you able to get a count?

Whispering, I think we should just bum rush them!

She stopped her horn and let the sword pick up the tune itself as she whirled it around.  She then began to sing her other song that enhanced their attacks even further.

Talin
———————————————————–
Well, they are certainly plenty of gold tails in there.  Shall we?  Talin asked Juel.

===========================================================
Juel
———————————————————–
“Yup!” The big man tossed his torch across the way to the far wall and slung his large shield from his back onto his forearm. Chule did the same, his torch landing closer to the middle, with a shield matching his brothers.

Round 1

Talin led the group by moving first.

Otule leans around the corner again and fires at the first thing he sees. Unfortunately in the bad lighting of the dancing torches he didn’t see much, but the power of the bards was on his side. The music seemed to guide his hands and the bolt he loosed stabbed straight into the throat of one unlucky ratling.

Jule waited for Otule’s shot then roared as he stepped around the corner, making himself as small as he could behind his large shield while holding his sword high and bringing it down in a vicious chop. He too felled a little ratling.

The beautiful Vogh moved next.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
Talin waited till Otule had fired his shot and Jule went in.  He then followed close behind and looked at where the rats were before casting his spell.

He will cast glitterdust DC16 will save on the group of ratlings and whatever is there.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh came out of the tunnel and into the cavern with her blade weaving and her song on her lips.  She went straight for the first group of rats.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Chule charges forward to join Vogh’s side and blocks the hallway with Juel, Vogh and he forming a human wall against the horde waiting for them inside the cavern. He cleaves through one and then drops a second, clearing Vogh’s front of enemies.

An albino ratlord is at the back of the pack with a heavy crossbow leveled at them. His shaved head shows a tattoo of a knife. A gold amulet dangles around his neck.

A rat even larger than the pony they saw before, a ratbrute, stands to his side with another heavy crossbow and a wicked looking greatsword with dings and notches all along its length. The blade’s imperfections were further marred by matted hair, blood and gore that was never cleaned.

A smaller rat, possibly female, had tattered robes like a priest and stood before a crude statue that rose above the trash all around. The seven-foot-tall structure was made of bits of paper, cloth, and other trash pasted together with sewage that has dried and hardened. She held a heavy mace in one hand an a light wooden shield in the other protecting her body covered by studded leather armor.

All the ratlings and minions and scream as the gold dust settles over them, taking their vision. They all swing wildly at the opponents in front of them. Unfortunately, some hit their compatriots instead of the invaders.

Sam looks for an opening but cannot get between the three humans in front. Soon enough he has his hands full though as another ratbrute simply tears down the screen that separated this cavern from the next area which the two ratlings disappeared through and swings a huge age ax the man. He lets out a scream as the giant rat’s giant axe descends and smashes into his chest. Immediately blood sprays onto the rats already matted fur and Sam barely keeps his footing. (More than half his hit points in one hit…)

The other big bastard levels the large crossbow at Chule and fires. Luck was with the man as the bolt scraped his arm and clattered against the stone wall.

The ratlord does likewise with his crossbow and fires at Juel. His bolt clips Jule’s armor drawing a small line of blood.

The line of Goblins fire off their little crossbows blindly, several striking the ratlings in front of them, who scream. A single bolt gets insanely lucky and stabs into Vogh (rolled randomly! You can check! 😀 – 4 points of damage)

The ratlings swing wildly, but without their site they cannot land a single hit against the skilled and armored humans.

Top of Round 2

Talin immediately adjusts to face this hulking threat.

Otule rolls to the side and swings his crossbow around, fires at the brute and the puny dart connects but barely hurts the big thing. (2 points)

Chule steps forward and drops two more ratlings with powerful swings.

Juel, not to be outdone, drops two more himself, leaving a single ratling standing between Vogh and the next line.

Vogh does what she does best…

Sam, still staggered by the heavy blow, to his credit doesn’t swoon. He screams and stabs his longsword forward like a lance. The song of the bards flows through him, mixed with his blood fury and the blade sinks to the hilt inside the rat bastard!

Go ahead and act for Vogh and Talin then I’ll act for Bad guys.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
Talin was taken aback at the ferocity of the large rat coming through the curtain as it slashed at Sam spilling a lot of blood all over the place.  Talin tightened his grip and swung his blade.  You will pay for that you nasty rat!

21:32, Today: Talin rolled 17,12,15 using d20+13,d8+11,5d6.  attack the brute.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh thinks first what would help out the most and decides to cast a spell on the big rats in the back.

Suddenly a large pool of grease coats the floor under the 3 large rats feet.  Cast Grease

I figured to put it directly in between the 3 since it is a 10ft wide area.

Reflex save DC15 or fall prone.  If they save and move they need to make a balance check DC10 failure they need to make a reflex save or fall.  They move half speed if they make balance check.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
The ratbrute goes down into the unexpected grease spot that appears beneath his feat but the other two maintain their footing with claws gripping into the stone.

The goblins fire off another volley of bolts blind and only manage to strike Juel. (3 points)

The ratlings swing wildly as well, unable to coordinate or see their opponents, merely acting on instinct. Ironically only the fringe ratling connects, and with Chule. (5 points)

The ratbrute stands from the pile of grease, leaving his dropped crossbow in the process and draws out the huge sword. He pushes through the rank of goblins to get at the humans. (Can’t attack this round after standing and moving)

Talin’s sword is batted aside by the greataxe as the ratbrute squirms on the sword impaling him. Sam impossibly ducks the backhanded swing that came back from the beast’s axe which blocked Talin. Sam withdrew his long sword for another attack. (I’m not going to lie, that one puckered up my butthole, and the brute only missed by 2! :D)

The wounded man growled again, his wound still bleeding as he stabbed into the giant rat’s gut once more. My how it screamed! Talin and Otule could see the thing had little fight left in it.

(Dang! Sam is killing it with his rolls! This is why I love dice! It’s like they know he’s fighting for his life!!! NPC Sam, rolled 31 to hit 14 damage)

The pasty white ratlord and the priestess both reload their crossbows and fire again. Both shot ineffectively, missing Juel as the big brute blocked their shots at Voth and Chule.

Top of Round 3

Talin, angered by the foiled attack tried again.

Otule wanted to tumble behind the brute but couldn’t fit between it and the tight cavern wall, so he simply reloaded his crossbow and shot at it again. The dart seemed to just stick into the thing’s hide without even drawing blood!

Jule swiped through two more ratlings to close with the big beast barreling through the minions

Vogh saw the big rat coming her way…

Chule too saw the beast charging through goblins and ratlings alike but braced himself. He wanted blood. His longsword slices across the brute’s chest, opening a line of blood in the matted and filthy fur, but that did not stop its advance.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
Talin boldened by the courage of Sam and his dodging of the axe with such a wound, Drew back his blade for another strike across the big rats legs, hoping to chop the out from under him.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh was surprised at the sudden advance of the large rat that she was barely able to get her blade set right to make a very accurate strike on the thing.

22:44, Today: Vogh rolled 18,19,18 using d20+15,d6+14,5d6.  strike true.
Hopefully that hits with it charging and all.

===========================================================
Narrator
———————————————————–
Vogh couldn’t get her sword through the beast’s mighty swing at Chule. The many notched sword bit into Chule and immediately tore through flesh and muscle.

The whole group felt the collapse of the rat that struck Sam as Talin took it down with his final swing.

The albino rat likewise wades through the fodder and dropping the crossbow draws out a sharpened longsword. He bites deep into Juel’s back as the man focuses on the rat beast.

The big thing swings at Chule once more, tearing into him good. Chule could not help but scream at the invasion and ripping of his flesh. (16 points. 2 points from death.)

The priestess could not move between the two of her companions to attack. She moved behind the ratbrute where no one could see her. Vogh’s keen eyes open wider in horror as she watches one then two open wounds close on the beast.

(Both did make their DC 10 reflex save to move through the grease)

Only 3 little ratlings are out in the press and their attacks are blind and innefective. The goblins and remainder of the ratlings are caught behind their bigger companions.

===========================================================
Narrator

Otule side steps and shoots a ratling, dropping it.

Juel is trapped between the ratlord and the ratbrute. He saw Talin’s attack that caused fire to race all over the thing’s body and filling the air with the smell of burned air. Juel thought best to finish this beast so he swung with everything he had. The sword opened a wound and he carried the attack through to spray blood all over the ratlord as Juel’s sword connected solidly with him as well. A chest wound opened on the ratlord that immediately matted his white fur with raging hot blood.

Chule staggerd back next to Sam and they both held each other up, not ready to surrender yet but both almost too weak to do anything else. Thankfully the carcass of the ratbrute was blocking most of the corridor so no one should sneak up on them.

The ratlings seem to regain their site and opening their eyes they see their two champions downed. Knowing the situation to be hopeless the fight to defend their home to the last.

The distracted Vogh takes a single hit (1 point) and Talin takes a single hit as well (6 point).

(I rolled randomly for who they would attack and it came up Vogh 3 times! haha 😀 I divided it more evenly though.)

The goblins still seem to be staggering around blinded and useless. A few hilariously slip and fall in the grease, blind and now greased. The rest seem to cower against the walls just wanting it all to be over.

The ratlord, bleeding profusely, drops his crossbow and draws a longsword to slash at Juel. The big man, extended from his cleaving swing could not adjust in time, but his heavy armor saved him from just a minor bruise on his thigh. (2 points)

The rat priestess could barely be seen crouching behind the downed brute.

She has a scroll of animate dead which she’s going to use on the Ratbrute.

Talin watches as the big rat falls, and then once again comes back to life, or at least that is what he though as it rose again.  Little did he know though, that this thing was now undead.  Still he knew he had a target in front of him so he swung his sword at it.  What the heck?  Vogh help!!

Otule simply stabbed and killed the ratling in front of him, then he handed his crossbows to the wounded Sam telling Chule to sit and drink his own potion. Chule takes the potion from the rogue gladly and guzzles it quickly. The blood stops flowing from his wound but it remains red and angry. (+9 points)

The group watches the ratbrute drop with the last vicious hit, then the priestess cower behind it. The beast stood once more with dead eyes, slowly picking up its sword with no more blood flowing from its body and most of the hair burned off grotesquely.

Juel has nowhere to move so he attacks the albino ratlord, trusting in the others to keep the zombie off his back. His hesitation cost him though and the white rat blocks his attack.

Sam loads the crossbow and fires it at the albino rat. Once again the bardic inspiration guides otherwise foiled hands. He jerks the trigger and the bolt flies through the air stabbing directly into the beast’s eye!

Grabbing at his face and his destroyed eye he dropped his weapon and tried to run only to find Otule and Juel happy to end his pain (AOO). The two both stabbed him at the same time, their blades crossed inside its body as the thing hit the ground in an unhindered slump.

Three little ratlings squeaked and pressed themselves against the far wall, weapons dropping in their retreat.

The priestess in her tattered robes moved out from behind her zombie brute through the grease to Juel who just killed her lord. (balance check passed with 13)

She abandoned her crossbow and smashed Juel in the ribs with a heavy mace. (7 points) The man nearly buckled under the weight but twisted to absorb the blow as best he could.

Her zombie underling started to swing its still massive sword at Talin.

The dead toppled with Vogh and Talin’s viscous chops and their burning fire raced over its lifeless body. The rat priestess screamed out in fury as she withdrew her mace and smashed it into Juel again. (6 points)

The big man grunted, color draining from his face at the sound of ribs snapping. But then he yelled out a war bellow and stabbed his own sword into her side, holding it there, twisting, to add her screams to his war bellows. (14 points)

Otule quickly tumbled behind her and likewise stabbed into her back. Another shrill, screeching scream echoed throughout the cavern.

Sam furiously jumped to his feet and charged the duo adding his own dagger into her throat, spraying Juel with more of her blood.

The group could make fast work of the cowering ratlings and goblins…

Vogh called out to Talin as the others surrounded the priestess, Lets take the rest of the rats out and the goblins as well.  She began to step through the mass of tangled bodies and blood and sliced through the rats killing them with her man!

They all fell quickly and easily, unable to even put up a fight in their condition. The group stood around the mass of bodies and carnage. Otule quickly moved back to the only entrance and kept an eye out to make sure there were no other visitors coming to the party.

Juel checked on Chule immediately, putting pressure on the wound and checking on his brother.

Vogh
———————————————————–
As Juel checked on his brother, Vogh and Talin began to cut the tails of the dead rats.  They each checked the bodies as well as the area for anything valuable.  She also cast an easy spell to be able to see anything magical.

Cast detect magic.

Talin
———————————————————–
Talin helped Vogh get the tails and check the bodies as well a any things that may be hidden in the chamber.  He also checked for any secret compartments to make sure they were hiding anything else.  When Vogh said that a wand from the priestess was magical Talin had an idea about what it was.  I think we have a wand that can do some healing here, he called to the men as they were bandaging up each other and downing some potions of healing.  Who could still use some healing?  Talin asked and then used the wand on whom needed it.

Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh now thoroughly drenched, smelly and full of blood and gore from the battle looked to the others as they were finally looking better, I think we have quite a bit of stuff that we have collected.  We should head back to the surface, and as I said earlier, I think we more than proved ourselves to earn a share for each of us instead of sharing.  It took a little more convincing with Juel as he was stubborn, but in the end he caved, for he knew that without the bards he and his brother would be dead.

As they began to make there way back, Vogh had seen a doorway to make the trip much faster and easier than going up the rock slide.  Once back in the safe tunnels beyond the double doors they first came through, Vogh finally breathed easy.  Wow, now that was intense wasn’t it?  She asked them all.  They sure grow them rats big down there.  Have you seen anything like that before Juel?

They trudged back into more civilized areas and then Vogh and Talin both cast their spells of prestidition and made themselves clean once again.  They looked quite different from the 4 warriors, but that was too be expected.

With all the gear brought out now the group separated it all evenly based on worth and then what little gold they found was divided as well.  The rats tails were then separated and once it was all complete, Vogh and Talin said farewell to the men and thanked them for the adventure and the gold.  If you are in need of two bards once again, let us know.  You can find us at the Ghostly Minstrel.

Juel did finally agree that Talin and Vogh were more than worth their weight and earned a full share. The group took one of the secret doorways and exited the cavern into the wide sewer tunnels once more. It was easy for them to find their way back. Vogh and Talin wondered what would happen now that the nest was cleared of all rat-things.

Everyone agreed the battle was indeed intense. No one could believe how ferocious the little rat bastards were. Juel and his group shared they had fought ratmen before, but never in their own nest. It was always just a few of them out in the sewers or deeper in the tunnels.

Juel, Chule, Sam and Otule were all really impressed by Vogh and Talin’s ability to cast one spell and completely clean themselves and their gear. Each asked if the bards could repeat the process for them…?

The big man produced the key which unlocked and opened the doors that led from the sewers back into the secure Delver’s Guild areas. They entered and secured a private room which held nothing but a table and several wooden chairs. Here they could divide and review the loot.

None of them knew the value of all the items, so they weren’t quite sure how to divide everything up. The coins and tails were simple.

Each person got 7 tails, with 4 left over.

Each person got 149 gold pieces, with 4 left over.
Each person got 446 silver pieces.
Each person got 803 copper pieces.

Reminder that 50 coins = 1 pound. Thus each person is carrying 28 pounds of coins. 😀

That left all the remaining equipment and items to be divided up.

Masterwork heavy mace
Masterwork studded leather armor (in need of repair now)
Light wooden shield
However many shortswords, crossbows, and other weapons taken…?

Wand of cure moderate wounds (14 charges)
2x cure light potions
1x divine scroll summon monster III
1x Arcane Wand

Pearl earring
Gold amulet
Nine gems
Gold Idol of Lothian
Silver ring with Opal
Map and a mysteriously scrawled note

Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh looked to the men and agreed to their question about cleaning them up.  You know what, it is no problem to do that for the four of you.  You all are mighty warriors and we could not have lived without you as well, so stand still!  Soon the everyone was clean and moving to the private room.

Vogh tells the men, I am skilled with appraising normal items as well, and looks over the items to tell the worth of the.

You can appraise common or well-known objects with a DC 12 Appraise check. Failure means that you estimate the value at 50% to 150% (2d6+3 times 10%,) of its actual value.

Appraising a rare or exotic item requires a successful check against DC 15, 20, or higher. If the check is successful, you estimate the value correctly; failure means you cannot estimate the item’s value.

Masterwork heavy mace 305gp
Masterwork studded leather armor (in need of repair now) 25gp + 150gp mwk – damage 50gp = 125gp
Light wooden shield (3gp half if sold)
2x heavy crossbows (50gp each half if sold)
10x light crossbows (35gp each half if sold)

Wand of cure moderate wounds (14 charges) 750gp
2x cure light potions 50ea gp
1x divine scroll summon monster III 375gp
1x wand of shield (21 charges)

You can just give me the costs for these.  (How much is the necklace I found?)
Pearl earring 75gp
Gold amulet 200gp
Nine gems 50gp each = 450gp
Gold Idol of Lothian 275gp
Silver ring with Opal 300gp

Juel about the map and the note, we know not what it is worth, but we need to discuss whether or not you want it.  I would like to keep it myself.
Map and a mysteriously scrawled note

“Well I bet you would want to keep it. So would we. Maybe we should figure out what it goes to together?” the big man responds to Vogh’s query about the map.

You tell me how many mundane weapons you brought.

And did you roll for the appraisals? I didn’t see in dice logger.

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
If you would want us with, then we would welcome your company once again.  Though I think we need to add a healer to our ranks.  Do you know of any?  Vogh asked.  If we can get a decent price for the weapons no one wants then we sell them and the jewelry and stuff.  We can then take a couple days off and then see about going back following the map.

So I count this as:

Selling:

Masterwork heavy mace 305gp / 2 = 152gp
Damaged mwk studded leather 125gp / 2 = 62gp
Shield 1.5gp
Crossbows 50gp
Light Cross. 175gp
Summ. Mon. Scroll 187gp
Pearl earring 75gp
Gold amulet 200gp
Nine gems 50gp each = 450gp
Gold Idol of Lothian 275gp
Silver ring with Opal 300gp

Total: 1927.5gp

Each: 321 GP each

Keeping

Them:

2x cure light potions 100gp

You:

Wand of cure moderate wounds (14 charges) 750gp
1x wand of shield (21 charges) 300gp

They will likely think the 900 gp disparity between what you’re keeping and what they are is a bit much, but since you all are agreeable to go with them again they are willing to overlook it.

===========================================================
Juel
———————————————————–
“No. We don’t know anyone. We could post an ad, like how we found both you. With all this gold can’t we buy even more? We got them potions right here in the underground. Just need to buy more, right?” the big man didn’t understand that the amount of gold they held would go far in terms of living large on drink and food, but it did not go far in the world of magic.

“Plus, how are we going to just trust you aren’t going to take that map and leave us behind?”

===========================================================
Vogh
———————————————————–
Vogh showed a hurt face as the man basically accused her and Talin of being dishonest.  She wouldn’t do that as she probably needs the warriors to fight along with her and Talin.

Well, I wonder if the Delver’s have a safe or vault or something that they can hold the map for us?  The only way it is gotten then is by at least one each of us.  Would that sound like a safe compromise?  As for your gold, you can buy the potions if you like. We both promise to use the wand for all of us when needed.

===========================================================
Juel
———————————————————–
“Yeah. I bet they got something like that. I agree to your terms. Let’s spend a few days recovering and healing up then meet back here. It was good fighting with you both!”

Juel gave them a big handshake and clap on the shoulder, an action repeated by each of the other men. Chule and Sam were the weakest and the foursome quickly headed out to cash in their other items as well as get fixed up.

===========================================================
Talin
———————————————————–
Talin likewise gave the men a good shake of his hand.  They were a sturdy lot and though they weren’t very talkative, it was nice to have fought with them.  We will see you here in 3 days then.  It will give us plenty of time to recover and have a slight break before the next adventure.

Talin then put his arm around Vogh and gave her a deep kiss.  You and me are going to have a good night tonight!
